SPECIES PROTECTION
A SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITY
As a producer of exotic leather goods, we take our responsibility to protect species very seriously. Ever since the company was founded, we have worked closely with the Internationaler Reptilleder Verband e.V. (IRV – International Reptile Leather Association). In order to ensure the seamless proof of origin of our products made from reptile leather, we add a species protection tag to our products, which provides information about the country of origin, species of reptile, CITES number and IRV number. An IRV species protection tag provides legal proof that the product complies with species protection requirements. For this reason, we ask that you always keep track of the species protection tag provided with your Kaufmann product in the event of plausibility controls.
More information about species protection in the production of reptile leather can be found at:

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
Kaufmann works exclusively with leather tanneries that use environmentally-friendly tanning practices. This naturally means that Kaufmann leathers contain no toxins such as PCP or azo dyes. We also make sure that the other components of our products are made from sustainable materials in an eco-friendly way.
